Our cattery
When we say we're boutique, we really are. We have seven individual rooms and a communal room for a maximum of ten cats, so your cat will receive individual care and attention during their stay with us. The cattery is air-conditioned and kept warm in winter and cool in summer.
iNDIVIDUAL ROomsOur individual rooms are suitable for kittens, less social cats, or those with special dietary or medical needs.
They are cosy and comfortable spaces containing a large climbing frame, floor area for playtime, and a comfortable bed to rest or sleep in. You are welcome to bring your cat's own bedding if you prefer or a blanket from home to help them settle in. Our individual rooms are enclosed with glass so although your cat will have their own space, there is a feeling of openness, so they won't feel alone. |
communal RoomOur communal room is great for cats who enjoy socialising or those who prefer freedom to roam and play.
It is an open plan sunny space that is full of toys, climbing equipment, and cosy beds or boxes to rest in. As it is a neutral territory cats do not fight. We do however ask that bedding or personal items are not brought with you from home. We have plenty of bedding that is regularly laundered. Please note that although we may allow kittens to play in this room, they are not left unattended. |
about Me
Hi, I'm Lisa; a true cat lover, and the owner/operator of Tauranga Cat Hotel.
Prior to moving our family to Tauranga, we owned a much larger boarding cattery in Auckland. I have always loved animals and have raised and loved several cats. Our family has three cats; Mittens a Moggy, Mackintosh a British Shorthair, and Flora an Exotic Shorthair. We created Tauranga Cat Hotel to be somewhere we would want our own cats to stay. Because our guest numbers are small, I spend time getting to know each cat, and they are treated like my own while they are in my care. I also enjoy photographing my guests and sharing these regularly on our social media pages. |
